Lenovo Group: Pioneer in Intelligent Transformation, Committed to Market Communication

Expand Innovative Communication Channels

Lenovo Group Limited (“Lenovo” or “the Group”) is committed to providing timely, transparent, and clear communications for investors and analysts to help them better understand the business development and prospects of the Group.

In today’s world, the abundance of information has made it a challenge to deliver accurate messages and to effectively reach the target audiences. Optimizing the appropriate media channels in an informative yet interesting way is therefore crucial to presenting itself in the best possible light to the investment community.

Varied Communication Modes

The Investor Relations (“IR”) team is committed to maintaining interactive communications with the capital market to facilitate a better understanding by the investment community of Lenovo’s intelligent transformation strategy, business operations, and the latest developments. The IR team also proactively responds to major issues of concern to the capital market to offer all necessary information in a timely and accurate manner.

Investors and analysts can have direct communications with the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer and other senior management on a quarterly basis through a wide range of activities. During the fiscal year 2022/23, the Company held around 600 meetings with institutional investors and analysts, mainly from Asia Pacific, UK, Europe and North America. Some key channels such as quarterly IR Communications, investor conferences, investor panel discussion, IR webpage, newsletters and social media have been flexibly carried out throughout the year.

Increase Investment in Innovation Search and Development

Lenovo is steadfast in being a leader in the Intelligent Transformation movement, and its vision is to bring smarter technology to all. To achieve this, Lenovo plan to double the innovation search and development (R&D) investment in the medium-term. This increased investment will help to remain competitive in next-generation product design and solutions, while also pursuing profitability growth.

Lenovo will continue to prioritize innovation and high-value added products and components, and foster the development of "New IT" architecture within the "Client-Edge-Cloud-Network-Intelligence" framework. This will enable the Group to better serve its customers by addressing their pain points in areas such as hybrid work, multi-cloud management, and cybersecurity.

Dedicated to Global Economy Decarbonization

The rapidly changing context urges the global business community to respond with smarter innovation and more responsible operations, seizing every opportunity to act with a larger purpose in mind. Lenovo is committed to its vision to provide smarter technology for all and helping to decarbonize the global economy.

From an innovation perspective, Lenovo continued to invest in R&D which also help to enhance energy efficiency. Lenovo’s Neptune liquid cooling technology, combined with the High-Performance Computing cluster, helps data center customers become more energy efficient. Also, the Group has continued to expand its renewable energy installation to achieve the energy-related targets.

Provide Smarter Technology for a Sustainable Future

As a responsible corporate, Lenovo prides itself on setting high standards and making every effort to mitigate the environmental impact as the business advances towards its Science Based Targets initiative-approved (SBTi) goal of Net Zero emissions by 2050. It is worthwhile to note that the Group is the first PC and smartphone maker, and one of only 139 companies in the world, with an SBTi-validated net-zero target.

Moving forward, Lenovo is devoted to its vision to provide smarter technology for all and helping to decarbonize the global economy – one of humanity’s greatest challenges. The Group will remain focused on developing innovative solutions to reshape the way Lenovo conducts business around the world and help to preserve the ecosystems on which the future depends.
